DESCRIPTION:It's time to hit the pavement and put on our walking boots for a good cause! Operation HELP and Hudson Area Backpack and Food Programs\, along with Grace Place (New Richmond) and Our Neighbor's Place (River Falls) are teaming together under the banner of River Valley Charities to bring "Coldest Night of the Year" to St. Croix County.  This winter walk is all about raising funds and awareness for local programs that offer support to those experiencing hunger\, homelessness\, and hurt.\n\n\n\nOn February 24\, 2024\, the streets of downtown Hudson and Lakefront Park will come alive with our local event\, which will be the first ever in northwestern Wisconsin! We'll be walking in solidarity alongside more than 150 communities across North America\, all with the same goal in mind: to help provide shelter\, food\, and emergency financial assistance to our neighbors in need.\n\n\n\nSo\, let's rally the troops! We're calling on all local businesses\, schools\, churches\, clubs\, and families to join us and form a team of walkers. \n\n\n\nFollowing the walk will be a celebratory light meal at Midcurrent Church.\n\n \nLet's show our community that we've got their backs...because it's cold out there.
