 BACKGROUND St Croix Therapy has been a part of the St. Croix Valley community since 1986. Formerly known as Special Children’s Center, our organization has served thousands of clients and families. We celebrate the enduring connections we have built through our therapy services and additional programs.  
St Croix Therapy offers physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapy.  Our clinic also contracts with Pierce, St. Croix and Polk County for Birth to Three services.  Besides therapy, our clinic offers adaptive swim lessons, open swim, community swim groups, social skills groups and more.   
The primary population we serve is children with disabilities, developmental delays and sensory needs.  We also treat adults with disabilities and adults with chronic pain.  Our client population is primarily from western Wisconsin as well as the Twin Cities Metro area.  
VISION Our vision is to be a recognized and respected leader throughout the St. Croix Valley for therapeutic services.  We view ourselves as a pioneer in leading-edge techniques using a multidisciplinary approach.  Our goal is to provide hope and well-being within individuals and families and to develop acceptance and understanding of citizens of all abilities.  
MISSION St Croix Therapy helps children and adults develop and expand their abilities through innovative therapeutic techniques.  Our clients develop skills in functional movement, sensory processing and communication.  By reaching higher potential and creating new possibilities, we aim to help clients become master of their whole body.   
PURPOSE St Croix Therapy, a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, is committed to impacting the lives of individuals and families.  Our purpose is to create individualized treatment plans with an integrated treatment approach to help clients reach their maximum potential.  We value collaborating with professionals and providing mentorship to future providers.

The Executive Director report directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.  
• Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy that achieves the organization’s mission by making consistent and timely progress on goals and objectives • Provide leadership in developing programs, organizational and financial plans with the Board and employees • Ensure financial stability by leading annual budget preparation, analyzing financials, ensuring cost control and exploring other potential revenue streams  • Create, revise and carry out clinic policies and procedures  • Oversee board growth and development and communicate effectively with the Board and supply all necessary information for the Board to make informed decisions • Assign projects and programs; monitor workflow, and review, evaluate and communicate progress while working in tandem with team leaders • Oversee daily clinic operations and follow-up with client/families concerns • Oversee all human resource functions including, but not limited to, recruiting, onboarding, ongoing training, daily management, benefit administration, payroll and addressing employee performance concerns • Develop innovative methods of delivery of services based on needs of client in collaboration with the clinical and administrative employees  • Serve as the organization’s primary spokesperson  • Oversee all marketing functions including, but not limited to, social media management, advertising, networking, web presence, branding and promotion  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including oversight of prior authorization and collection issues  • Oversee contract renewals and agreements with schools, insurance companies, the counties, vendors and other pertinent stakeholders  • Act as the clinics Privacy Officer by ensure HIPPA and privacy practices are upheld and investigating and tracking incidents and breaches as they occur  • Explore fundraising and grant opportunities  • Complete annual DFI requirements and pool licensing to ensure compliance  • Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations  • Maintain a culture which attracts, retains and motivates a diverse group of high quality clinical, administrative and operations people

REQUIRMENTS  • A bachelor’s degree or greater in a professional rehabilitation field (i.e. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology) or in healthcare administration, business administration or a similar field. • Five or more years of management experience preferred.   • Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer skills and organizational skill. • Financial management and accountability experience preferred.  • Proficient in a variety of technologies. • Ability to motivate and lead employees and volunteers. • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and respond to organization needs in prompt and timely fashion. • Prior non-profit and/or healthcare experience desirable. 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS  • This is an exempt, full-time position.  It does require time outside an 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday schedule. • Extensive local travel, driving and exposure to weather conditions. • Physical activity that includes extensive time working on a computer and on a telephone, and the ability to lift 35 lbs.

Salary is commensurate with experience. St Croix Therapy strives to provide compensation at market rate when compared to like organizations. 
Annual performance evaluations may be conducted near, or on, an employee’s anniversary of hire.

It is St Croix Therapy’s policy to complete an extensive background and reference check of candidates.  Once strong mutual interest has been established, candidates are asked to provide a list of references that should include, but not limited to , a supervisor, a peer and a subordinate, when applicable.  St Croix Therapy will respect the issue of confidentiality and will conduct the reference checks accordingly.  Candidate will be asked to sign and Authorization to Release Information for the purpose of background investigation, which may include verification of education, credit check, criminal and driving records.
