Enjoy an autumn morning by coming to Camp St. Croix and learning how to make a fall favorite: butternut squash and kale soup. During this morning on the farm, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to harvest and make soup with fresh ingredients in true farm to table style. We are excited to welcome a chicken farmer Sal Dagget from Roosterhaven Farm in Deer Park, who will give us insight into life on a meat bird farm. A big pot of soup will be cooked up to sample together, and squash and kale will be sent home with participants so they can cook a pot at home! Families are welcome, and no experience is necessary.
