A Chef’s Hat or Two
Roll up your sleeves, tie that apron, and get ready for a tasty night in the kitchen. At Grand Fete, they know how to teach a class and make it fun!  If you're short on date night ideas, this is your place. Taught by top-notch culinary instructors, they offer several classes throughout the year (just make sure to sign up early as they do fill up fast). Their cooking classes are meant to inspire you, instruct you, and introduce you to exciting flavors, unique products, and their favorite kitchen tools. You’ll find everything from how to make authentic Thai dishes to creating the perfect chocolate and balsamic truffles.

Along with offering great cooking classes, they also have a shop filled with all the kitchen accessories your heart desires. Check out their cooking classes and make sure to add them to your list.

It’s Happy Hour Time!
Do you love a cocktail shaker, but you're not sure how to use it? Or maybe you just really want a perfectly crafted cocktail at the end of a long day. Either way, this class is for you! Right in downtown Hudson is Black Rooster Bistro, and not only do they make their own deliciously crafted cocktails from scratch, they’re now offering cocktail classes so you can learn the art of making them too. Believe us when we say they make seriously delicious crafted cocktails!

Black Rooster Bistro’s craft cocktail classes are one hour long and include one item off their bar menu to snack on during the class. They’ll cover a range of basics, including history, tools, techniques, and recipes. So grab your favorite people and either book directly online or call to reserve your spot. Make sure to sample some of their amazing eats and other specialty cocktails while you’re there!

Paint the Town
A masterpiece does not have to be created by a professional artist, especially in Audrey Martin’s classes! This is all about getting together and having some fun. In fact, no experience is necessary—just come to let loose, paint, and maybe even sip a little vino while you do it. Classes are hosted regularly in Hudson at some great businesses, including Cracked Barrel Winery, Pitch Fork Brewing, Urban Olive and Vine. It’s easy to register, just check the calendar and find a painting you’re interested in recreating. Instructors will walk you through each stroke of the brush, so there’s no pressure at all. It’s a fun, lighthearted atmosphere, and at the end, you’ll leave with a work of art created by you!

Add More Art to Your Calendar
The Phipps Center for the Arts is the perfect place to unleash your inner artist! They offer an array of visual arts, performing arts, and lifestyle classes. Classes and lessons are held at their facility on the beautiful St. Croix River.

If you’ve always wanted to try your hand at the wheel and create some beautiful pottery, this is the place to go. They offer opportunities for all ages and skill levels to work with clay. Every fall, winter, and spring, the schedule includes pottery on the wheel classes for teens and adults, open studio access for artists to work independently, and workshops focused on specific techniques. They also offer painting, drawing, and other art-focused classes.

On top of amazing art classes, there are also a variety of dance classes, like jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, and Latin dance. They even offer ballroom dancing classes and tai chi throughout the year.

Make it Magical
One of the best-kept secrets in Hudson is The Real Magic House. This enchanting place is one of the most notable landmark historic homes in the area. While maintaining many of the home’s original features, it’s been transformed into a premier vacation rental and special event venue for vibrant and inspiring experiences of all kinds. The house is bursting with colorful, elaborate rooms and fun surprises around every corner.

There’s plenty of unique fun to be had here. From cabaret shows to pop-up gnome painting classes to wreath-making and more. You’ll want to bookmark this place and keep an eye on their calendar as events and classes are added throughout the year.
